Destinations

We’re not always at our beach house. Look for us in our favourite destinations. We each have some special places where we love to spend time.

Samuel

Samuel’s pride and joy is his Friesian stallion named Aleksander. Gentle and willing, seven-year-old Aleksander is Samuel’s most beloved companion after Lily.

Lily jokes she ranks second to a horse, but Aleksander won her over the first time she met him. She encourages Samuel to spend as much time as he can with Aleksander.

Dimrill Dale, Evergarden Equestrian Oaks, Maple Leaf Riding Centre, Raven Hollow Equestrian, and Remblai Estates Ranch are destinations of choice for Samuel and Aleksander.

Samuel also loves boating on the Blake Sea. He has a cabin cruiser and a live-aboard luxury yacht ready for when the mood takes him.

Lily

Lily feels at home in the sublime blend of Victorian-era locations, elegant period fashion, and steam-powered futuristic technology that is steampunk. She loves Caledon, Mieville, New Babbage, and Neu Wulfenstadt, and shopping at ContraptioN and the Engine Room.

Dressing up in steampunk style, adding her favourite hat and goggles, and flying over Caledon in her Black Devil Tibieeder is one of Lily’s favourite things to do. She flys over the spires of Caledon Oxbridge and the lighthouses, towers, Victorian-era houses, cobbled streets, bandstands, and piers of Caledon.

Once Lily finds somewhere to land, she explores the parks and gardens, the vintage shops, and the beautiful landmarks scattered about the towns and villages.

Edward

Edward is never far from heritage architecture.

Andra

Andra’s pick is the annual Fantasy Faire. Any region with an eastern flavour has her undivided attention.

She’s attended each year since 2012 and brought home a mountain of quest rewards. Some of these quirky objects are too big for inside our beach house. Luckily, we have lots of yard space.

Many of Andra’s favourite wardrobe pieces are also from Fantasy Faires, including her much loved plush neko (cat) ears. She’s the one of us most likely to wear a maid’s outfit or a full kimono with all the accessories. 

When not attending Fantasy Faire, Andra can be found in Altair, Heiwano Shima, Hikari, Kio Zen Garden, SU-SHI City, Ren, or Sakura Cranes.

Marius

Marius loves being in nature far away from the noise, hustle, and glare of modern cities. Ever since he was young, he’s preferred being in the great outdoors to being stuck inside. The rustle of wind in trees, expanses of freshwater, birdsong, and starry night skies all soothe his soul.

We’ve learned to recognise when Marius has been indoors too long. Malaika suggests some time away together and helps him pack the panniers and topbox of his motorbike, a Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer. They are soon off to enjoy another natural photogenic location.

Marius’ favourite places include Mindful Cove, Mount Campion Caves National Forest, The Nature Collective, and Timeless Seasons.

Malaika

Malaika enjoys immersing herself in vibrant and exotic locations with a touch of mystery.
